TV: ACCN

Yeah, I think I’ll be there.
Wake up losers. Basketball is back in 3 days. Let’s belt these turkeys.
Don’t think Jacari could have picked a worse time to get injured other than mid-March. Our opening stretch is brutal
@ VT, @ NC State, @ SMU, @ Louisville, UNC in our next 7 games
What’s the latest on his timeline?
Are we thinking 3-4 weeks similar to Kihei’s? Has there been any solid reporting here or elsewhere? Mind went to mush after the holidays
He had surgery 5 days ago, at minimum I would guess 1-2 more weeks
Kihei never missed a game. Was helped by the 10-day exam break, but played in all 38 games.
I would think that as soon as he is cleared for strenuous workouts, he could at least stay in good shape, participate in some, if not all drills, and keep his shooting sharp. Other than that, this injury is likely to be a week by week, day by day thing depending on the exact bone(s) broken and his individual healing ability. I guess that I’m saying is that nobody knows at this point when he’ll be able to return. Another week or so might give the docs a better idea.
Dropping in the Hoop Explorer preview here, haven’t had a chance to digest yet:
Don’t think there’s anything reported yet on Lawal returning timeline, but this VT student journalist is making the educated guess that he won’t be back by this game:

Great time if the right guy plays his minutes
Kihei also went 3/21 FG in the 40 days after the injury. Can’t have Jacari do that.
We know you mean EG should get the minutes. He’ll have to be better than his current career 3/22 3-pt. Hope he does, now’s his chance.
Yeah our seeding may unfortunately take a pretty massive hit if he’s out of all those games. 2-5 wouldn’t be out of the question
How are folks feeling about this game? VT insider if you can call Chris Arvin that doesn’t think Lawal is playing.
Great!!! 71-78
This was going to be a tough start to ACC play with Jacari. But nearly every team deals with injuries at sometime during the season. Good teams find a way to win anyway, so we will learn a lot about this team pretty quickly.
Our perimeter defense will have to be good, particularly on Neo and Schutt, but I don’t see how they hang with our frontcourt. We should prioritize attacking the paint. But what do I know?
