That was so much worse than the PI they called on us. He was holding Fields as Field was trying to come back to the ball. Never mind the hands to the face to begin with. Worst officiating I’ve seen this year.

Guys played hard tonight. Lot to overcome between the horrible Jones injury and the officiating crew.
1st half performance didn’t help obviously but I think it’s fair to say we got fucking hosed by the refs in the 4th quarter. Should’ve won this one.

I generally don’t like blaming a loss on the refs. Because even when there are bad calls… that’s part of the game. But that was ridiculous.

Don’t blame the refs, the ACC brass, or Vegas…blame the AD/Dept. This is what you get when you are objectively one of the shittiest, least followed, least relevant football programs in the country… You get bodied by refs and fixed games. Thanks, Carla. Great hire!!
we hired Mike London, then had a capable coach that would rather retire than coach anymore under this AD, and now we have a pseudo-football coach.

Elliott’s too classy to do it and there’s nothing to benefit from it, but after having a no call on a play that potentially paralyzed Perris Jones, a phantom pass interference, a bullshit no call on the facemask on fourth down, and the picked up flag with UVA driving with eight minutes to go, I hope Elliott goes into the PC with a blank check and lets these officials have it.
Missed calls happen all the time, tonight was a mishandling of the job. A player cannot move right now from a helmet to helmet hit, something the targeting rule is designed to not only discourage but penalize, and he’s the only one that paid a consequence. If it was just the missed calls it would be one thing, but when a player’s safety is at risk, Elliott’s got a right to go in there and just light them up.

Worst officiating. Complete incompetence or deliberate corruption. WTF with picking up the flags after group consultation??? Didn’t pick up one of ours. BS facemask. BS non-call on an obvious PI to end the game.

Wanna say that I thought AC played fantastic tonight. Looked MUCH more poised than he did against GT facing what is one of the better front 7’s in the conference, was under heavy pressure for the entirety of the game but stayed calm and made some good throws. Also he had 89 of our 120 rushing yards, him and Malik really carried the offense on their back.
