Y’all are giving those stupid ass zebras too much credit. I dont think they’re crooked. They just really suck at officiating football games.
We gave up a long TD run and a long TD pass. That’s on us. We had too many stupid, legitimate penalties. That’s on us. Our offensive line gave up too many sacks and couldn’t open up the running game. Also on us. So we can’t blame the officials for everything. If we played better, maybe we would have won, even with the awful officiating.
But, my gosh, the officials were terrible.
Blocked punt didn’t help either.
Yup. The team had their shots and in the end 2 terrible plays on defense was the difference maker.
But gutted for the boys after being left wondering what if the game had played out in a normal fashion.
When Twitter has Clemson, UNC, Duke, FSU, and BC fans all saying the refs screwed UVa, you know UVa was screwed.
I’m hoping our official account would only repeat Elliot’s commentary if they know he’ll be ok
Tech fans commenting on Hollins crying on the sideline can really go F themselves.
Not representative of all but still weird behavior.
I hope Faumui knocks one of their fans out after his last game, and pisses on him, for goodmeasure.
he clarifies by saying he only saw Hollins crying after the game ended. That doesnt make it better. Its probably when the game was over that Hollins could begin processing it. Think they are roommates

Apparently things like gathering context weren’t taught to that guy at VT, fucking idiot immediately put his foot in his own mouth. Like you said, not indicative of the whole fanbase but terrible nonetheless.
My response to any jagoff who wants to comment on a player crying on the sidelines after he has done everything he can for his team and the program
Anyone have a good / accurate box score? Both Google and ESPN have us with one TD and one FG, obviously that ain’t it
Probably got screwed up because one of our scores was a pick six and another was a fumble recovery taken in for a TD.
Mike Hollins witnessed 3 teammates, including his best friend, get murdered a year ago Monday. Instead of running away, he went back to confront the gunman to help protect his other fellow students and was shot in the abdomen. Tonight he saw his roommate get taken from the field motionless to the hospital by ambulance.
That man has more right to cry after this game than any other human being alive.
Nothing would make me happier than to see TE and company keep the young talent we have, reload in the portal, and head into next season with some continuity on the OL and then go out and win 7-8 games. Hell, I’d settle for 6 wins with our schedule but this team can do that assuming we don’t see mass attrition.
Despite the terrible injury luck, this team is close to 5-6 wins already. They’re not ready to win those games yet and that’s what bad teams do, but I want to see if this team can learn to start winning and gain confidence. They haven’t quit despite countless reasons to, so I’m proud of that.
Beat tech and let that momentum carry us. Not sold on TE but he has me intrigued enough to want to see what he can do in year 3
Edit: Kam Robinson and Colandrea are priorities 1 and 1. Then go sell a transfer on the success of Malik Washington
All valid points and excellent perspective. However, despite a lack of discipline and some breakdowns in execution, our kids did their jobs better than the officials last night. Incompetent officiating cost them the opportunity to try to overcome their mistakes and pull out an improbable win. Even after sleeping on it, that still angers me. But I’m happy to hear things seem to be trending in the right direction for PJ.
