Remind me why we are favored? BC backup QB?

Yeah sounds like just uncertainty around Castellanos plus homefield.

Little movement on the line but not much. I had it opening at 2.5 now sitting at 3.5.The QB thing may have helped there a bit, but it will be interesting to see how the line plays over the next 3-4 days.

Coming back for my first home football game in a decade since moving away from the East Coast, what’s the best place to get tickets these days? Looked at Ticketmaster and what’s on there right now seem pretty unnecessarily high for a UVA-BC game.

Straight from the ticket office if you just want to get in and want to save on cost. Seat geek last minute if you want a better seat but you’ll pay heavy fees.

I think the line has moved toward us for every single game. Wonder what the sharps are seeing in us.

You’re right the biggest was the MD game that almost pulled a complete flip. In general the Hoos have been been good betting. I also feel like Vegas still has a hard time getting a grasp on what team is

I don’t think BC is as good as us, honestly. They don’t move the ball well with Castellanos and they are at times 1-dimensional. Idk why folks think they’re a good team.

Won pretty easily vs FSU (yeah FSU is bad but we aren’t THAT far away from them, especially line talent). and played #9 Mizzou pretty close.

They aren’t an explosive offense but are pretty grind it out type and not sure if we have the endurance or healthy depth to last.

That being said if their QB is out we can definitely win, and if he’s back we do have the double edged dyaminc Colandrea sword who can always make it interesting

BC was the first team to beat FSU before they were exposed as frauds. Also kept it close at top 10 Missouri. O’Brien is a proven veteran coach with a winning reputation.

I have no idea if they’re any good, but these are indications they could be good. We have wins over a FCS team, a bad G5 team and possibly the worst team in P4. Nothing we can point to and say we’re actually good.

I love the psyche of Virginia fans. Shit on your own team at all cost. Is the team perfect? No but they are winning and they still can’t ge love.

Eh I understand the trepidation to an extent. I’m happy with our start but it is true that we haven’t really beaten anyone yet, and we lost to a mediocre Maryland team at home by two TD’s in a game that was also very winnable.

I don’t think BC are amazing or anything, we can absolutely beat them but they are a decent squad with Castellanos at QB. We will need to play a better brand of football than we did against Wake and MD in order to win, losing the turnover battle and/or making a bunch of mental mistakes won’t cut it. If Castellanos isn’t available the task becomes significantly easier but still not a walk in the park as they’ve got a good defense and one of the best pass rushers in the country in Donovan Ezeiruaku.

4-1 and a 2-0 start in the ACC goes a long way to really amping up the excitement around the program again. Hope we can get it done.

Less shitting on, moreso being realistic. Have watched every game in full the last 14 years and dont see that stopping though, even if not always live

I’m not saying we’re not good. I’m just saying we don’t have much to point at to show that we are at least an average P4 team.

I really hope that we can show that we’re pretty good. Would make the season a lot more fun.

UVA has a +/- 3 betting line every week.

Idk what’s wrong with the link but Castellanos is fully practicing today.

I know we need as many “easy” wins as we can get, but I would love to beat BC at full strength

I would consider 6 wins to be a hugely successful season, even if they come against convents, local high schools and teams missing all their skill players due to injury or illness. Not proud, just want the wins.

Ennis out for the year. Really tough break for our run blocking, he had been key there up to this point.
