Nailed it. You can see what this team could be if given time together. I think @Jerome is right that the right hire could retain a solid core.
But thats still leaving a lot up to circumstances.

Iād thought Dai Dai would be that guy. If heās not, and heās not one of the bombers from outside, and his on-ball defense isnāt great, then I maybe get why heās that far back on the bench.

If Dai Dai is at the end of the bench then how could Warleyās role have been justifiably reduced? Was it really deemed our 4th year power four transfer wasnāt going to have a major role, or were there other factors at play (Bennett of course being a major one)?
