Sure, fine, my point is: you are a national sports writer and you spend your precious time and attention finger wagging college kids. If you have a problem with it, finger wag field rushing and the institution that allows it. Tired of journalists doing this song and dance as if this is the issue.

Vannini had a pretty neutral write-up of the game and didnāt mention the bird flipper. I think itās incredibly stupid to give the finger to an opponent who left everything he had on the field. I guarantee the U.Va. players have total respect for Castellanos. But regardless, it was a great game and great win for Tony, his players and his staff. Especially Kitchings but also Rud.

One of the best nights of my life as a UVA fan. In town for a wedding and headed to the corner after the rehearsal dinner to party. Corner was buzzing - felt old, but donāt care. Partied at the Virginian and just got back to the hotel. Dapped up Sam Lewis on the walk home and told him weāre going to have a great year. He said āyessirā which Iām hoping was a figure of speach and not an acknowledgement of the fact Iām old now lolol
