Man youāre nailing it this morning. Huge shout outs to Metcalf, Wigenton and Witmer last night. Metcalf moved over and played a great game. Wigenton had some struggles when called on last week but played great last night. And then the big one Iāve been vocal about concern at the RT position given injuries and what Iād seen early in the yearā¦ Witmer proved me wrong in the best possible way, hat tip to him and hope it continues!

Iām happy for him at ND and would have loved if he stayed but we Edrine is a pretty comparable player and perhaps a better fit for our offense.

Has it been discussed how quickly the crowd stormed the field after the final play? Every time I see it, it looks like they were on the field almost before the ball was caught. Awesome moment.

I was there with my son whoās a few years younger than I was in 1995. Got a little choked up telling him to always remember how special this night was. This is why weāre fans, nights like Friday.

First game I remember was Clemson 1990. But FSU 95 was something else. My first field storming.
And last night was my sonās first. And he has been buzzing about it all day. Woke me up at 7am and asked if we could watch the highlights (which he has never done before).
And Iām still close with 6 of the guys I rushed the field with as a 5th grader back in 1995. Was a pretty great group chat last night sharing a pic with my son on the field w guys Iāve been buddies w for over 30 years.
What a night!

Maybe a bit lost to history, or the opposite: totally mundane, but there used to be a sign somewhere on the scoreboard (before it became a video board), that said āDo it Hoos!ā.
Hence the original t-shirt: Hoos Did it.

Ha! First game I remember was Clemson ā82āwhich did not turn out so well as @CavTex can attest to. Scott didnāt have lights yet, so we had to rent lights for the game.
Although we got blown out, I still saw that game and that season as a turning point for us. George Welsh was determined to build something new here and he did. Hereās hoping that this season turns out to be like 83!

Certainly feels like this game and this season could be a turning point for us again. Depends on if we can keep it going the rest of this season (Iām confident we can) and then how well we can leverage and build on this seasonās success going forward (less clear).
