Yeah, he didnāt look like a guy ready to make a push for significant playing time.
Heās got a workout with his trainer tonight, doesnāt wanna get burnt out.
All conference Rohde is a thing to behold
I think that comes with more time on the court to get comfortable so that your mind isnāt going one million miles a minute
Iāve been telling everyone, heās our all-ACC pg!
I found it interesting that in the ādecidingā minutes of that one (before we pulled away the final time) Dai Dai was checking Green. Is he our go to perimeter defender now?
Overall probably the best full team effort so far save maybe Villanova? That one we rained 3ās but this one we took care of the ball and made steps towards better rebounding. Obviously those guys werenāt going to out-rebound us (or atleast Iād hope not) but I thought positioning was better.
Not a fan of the even 24-24 points in the paint. Thought our guys looked a step slow on defense. Perimeter defense was better, didnāt allow many open outside shots but inside was a different story.
Sure itās tougher for guys like Cofie and Blake to guard a smaller quicker team like that but I thought they both couldāve done a better job of sliding their feet. Maybe we can chalk that up to too much turkey but either way thatāll need to be cleaned up going forward.
Rebounds were 31-28 with 2:40 left⦠green team basically out rebounding them 6-2. Not that good overall really ⦠but is what it is
Man sounds like a walk ons TJP Sharma lineup would seriously f*** up Wisconsin
Ok, so I find myself pondering⦠if Power has hit like 3 3ās the entire season, with all his minutes, then what exactly is he doing in there? Why do we play him again? I agree with @Hooandtrue - Iād like to see TJās minutes reallocated to Sharma. And yes, would be nice to get Robinson 5mpg so he can figure out wtf is going on. But still waiting on TJ to show us why we were all so excited about him. Like, even for a minute. Hasnāt happened yet.
For a half
Something else maybe I just hadnāt noticed yet but did Nike stop doing the Elite tags on back of jerseys?
Solid game and showed some good things. Only going to go up! Itās key we get iMac and Saunders to finish bunnies! Especially some of Saunders from 2ft out which we know he can make!
Zero chance. But I will root for him. But to reiterate- zero chance.
We canāt have any chance if he is one of our best 2-3 players. Heās complimentary. Not dominant.
For you AROB fans if you watched when he drew that foul (good job). Coach Wilkins immediately gave him the calm down signal. He still has to figure the game out and realize he can slow down! He moved very quick and out of control which is normal for any big who is still feeling the game out. I was once that big.
I think with Saunders heās a Robin being forced to be a Batman at times and heās learning how to score with most of his shots being contested as opposed to have a bonafide lead guard like Reece driving and giving him clean catch and shoot 3s or clean dump offs in the post to wide open lay ups.
Most of his shots are contested, including his catch and shoot 3s which are rarely wide wide open and usually have someone close by closing out on him. Still learning how to get comfortable scoring through contact (I believe he had a low free throw rate last year)
I like him taking 3ās and being a threat but I also like his post game on smaller guys. Will need more of that in acc play.
Think he got shocked in the Bahamas when he was swatted to the 4th row and running into athletes everywhere.
The real takeaway today is that we wore the actual good jerseys and won by 25 in a game we were favored by only 15.
Wow. We have lowered expectations.
HGN said I was a negative poster. Itās almost New Yearās. I will pretend to respond so I can be a positive poster. But deep down, weāre not even close. Iām going to try to be positive. So Iām going to bed.
Sometimes correlation IS causation
