I am a little too young (and also grew up a tech fan 
) to have strong feelings about the Maryland rivalry, but as a DC resident now I will confidently say that College Park is a pretty shitty college town. Even my girlfriend who is not an alum of any school involved has said it is one of her least favorite campuses sheās ever seen.

Predictions? Iām feeling like a 3-0 start seems too good to be true. I think our defense struggles to contain their skill position guys, although I donāt really know what Iām talking about.
Iāll go with 41-28, Terps in a game that feels closer than the score suggests.

Before the hate for Coach K had even metastasized, I remember attending games at U-Hall and spewing great venom at Lefty from the student section.
Va Tech wasnāt a thing back then and UMd was the dark force that we sought to destroy.

My hatred for UMd really crystallized in the brief period when I lived in DC/No.Va. and Friedgen briefly turned them into a national power. Sports radio was all Skins and Maryland football. With a bad Bowie accent, from the sports junkies, to boot.

Maryland and Carolina were to two teams to beat. Way before K of course, NCState with Burleson, Thompson, Norman Sloan of course was an excellent team but they didnāt raise the emotions that Lefty and Deano did.
