This is kind of a crazy statement given the body of work this year and improvement of individual players like Ugo (rounding into a complete player rather than just a shot blocker.
Also Odom has drawn up multiple good ATOs and we’ve rolled them out in other games(like in the tech game)

He just plays low IQ basketball. Two forced 3s and a dumb turnover today. We made our run when he was on the bench.

I think it’s at the point where we need TDR plus 2 of Lewis/Jacari/Malik to be on on offense to have a chance. But yeah, not a great showing today…

Two breakdowns on defense in the last minute put us down by 5. The key to the second half is cranking up the pressure and focus on D, and imposing our will. I think they can do it. Having said that, other than full-strength UNC, Miami may be the best team we’ve faced this season.

He has ran good atos. It’s weird. When the game is on the line he will draw something up that is great. But we will turn it over 2x a game because our baseline inbound execution is so poor.

I think coaches should be judged by more than their inbounding set plays.

I have never been even a ymca coach but it feels like we have let up like 20% of our points in transition, and we aren’t even getting offensive rebounds. May be prudent to drop back at least the guards (plus it would honor Tony)

Of course. My original post said it was superficial. But inbounds and zone offense is on coaching. And we are BAD in both.
He’s great in other ways. Just doesn’t seem like a great tactical/details coach. Which may be his point. Great at structure and roster building. Great tactically at end of games. Chaos in between.
Didn’t J Willy do our inbound plays under CTB? Just need to have a guy on staff for that

A lot of soccer teams have set piece coaches. Wouldn’t even need to be as involved as that.
