Hot take: Shaka would’ve been a good coach here Hotter take (?) - Shaka will still be a good coach at Marquette. He’s starting 2 frosh and a sophomore and 6/7 in the rotation are both sophomores. I think Shaka would’ve used the portal here. And probably been a better HS recruiter (at least than we’ve seen so far - which is a low bar to be fair). Have seen this chatter over this week but was too busy to respond at the time.

Not sure if this was mentioned above, but at the end of the game last night, after the handshake line, the entire team and some coaches lined up at the end of the court facing the band and joined in singing The Good Old Song. Nice touch. Maybe they’d done that before, but I had not noticed.

JPJ went nuts after Eli dunked it on their heads. Everyone was on their feet. If only 1/3 of the arena hadn’t already hit the tunnels it might’ve blown the roof off

You can see here that when Jacari hit that step back three over Sagnia, he was talking his talk to him afterwards. I had been wondering why on the broadcast you could see an irate State fan in the background asking for a tech.
