That was fun. Not a lot fun has been had this year, but that stretch in the 2nd half was vintage cavalanche and it got me fired up. Still want widespread change but never gonna be upset with a win.

At around 4 minutes we went with the “prevent offense” (working the clock) which I can’t blame them for given clock and lead. It went poorly because we absolutely sucked on D during that stretch.

Our whipping boy had 11 points, 7 assists, 0 turnovers. He’s got a lot of faults, but he’s considerably more valuable than a player like Buchanan who gets far less flack. He’s better than Dai Dai too

Wonder if there’s any chance a new coach could retain Saunders. Know he’s got a kid and may want some stability to finish his playing career, never know. But I’d rather keep him over McKneely.

Maybe it’s just my perpetual optimism, but I honestly think if Ames can figure it out, and ARob can become a more integral piece (with BB and Power being break-glass options), we could finish above .500 in a pretty weak ACC.

There’s a non zero chance this team goes 15-5. Watching Syracuse WF, the ACC is downright atrocious. Not bad. Atrocious.
SMU is beatable (could be a good Robinson game vs their big in our rematch with them coming up).
Of course there is also an 8-12 ACC reality for the Hoos.

Cant have bad offensive rebounding and lose the turnover battle. Gotta shore at least one of those up.

Cofie is SO disruptive on D. It is fun watching him improve right in front of our eyes on the defensive side of the ball.
Also loved seeing him be the secondary break dribbler and pushing the floor up himself on several occasions. Keep increasing his minutes, responsibility and opportunities on offense. We will be rewarded.
Then we MUST keep him and the Elis for next year, whomever the coach may be.
