The team need is for his teammates to be better.
Good way of putting it. His shooting efficiency has gone up from last season (measuring by effective FG and true shooting %) as he has exchanged 2s for 3s (good!) but his headline efficiency has been about that same because his TOs have increased with more playmaking responsibility.
In the player presser post NCSU, they mentioned trying to use IMac as a screener more because his man doesn’t want to help off of him, which I think is a good move. Noticed it in this Inside Triangle clip Brian Geisinger posted:
Sure - but so many of his teammates are just worse versions of what he offers so they’re asking him to do things that are his weaknesses.
I’m down for an ARob, Cofie, Saunders, iMac, Rhode lineup. There are a variety of things it couldn’t do, but it’d be comically huge and I’d love to see us have a size/strength advantage over another team before the end of this era.
