Worse than Chad Morris??
Last I checked in on him he had taken over a high school team in Texas and lost their first game in like 56 straight. After he went winless in conference at Arkansas of course.
He did well at SMU though, so mostly joking.

Chad Morris has a fight but Iād go with Jeff Scott.
Here are the best five wins of Scottās era at South Florida:
- He won his HC debut in 2020 with 27-6 victory over the Citadel.
- His lone conference win came in 2021 against a 3-9 Temple squad.
- Before that his team secured a HUGE win over Florida A&M at home.
- In 2022, his team responded off a season-opening loss with a win over Howard.
- I canāt name a fifth one, he only won four games at USF.

If we lose out (which weāre on track to do), I donāt see how you can bring back a guy off 7 straight losses and an empty stadium. Even if he ekes one out and we limp out 5-7 does anyone actually think heās the guy??
There is absolutely nothing promising here. Colandrea and his development is the great hope, but Iām getting pretty skeptical the best version of AC can pull us out of where weāre at.
If it must be done eventually it should be done immediately (I really mean at seasons end vs. giving him another season). Letās stop kidding ourselves. Heās not a good coach, and heās never really looked like one. He has the one win against UNC, and then they imploded for 2 straight months afterwards.
We can point to the tragedy all we want, and he seems like a great dude, but heās just not a good head football coach. Year 4 isnāt going to change that.

He snapped an 84-game home winning streak in his second game as HC at Allen. It was their first ever loss in the stadium.
He then resigned and went to work for Jeff Scott as an analyst!

We would double his salary if we gave him the Elliott contract. He should be gettable.

The next coach to be successful at UVA will
- Have experienced as a head coach instead of learning on the job
- Have experience with the same hurdles inherently present at UVA (military jobs seem most likely to imitate this environment
- Have a unique scheme offensively to help compensate for the early talent gap they will face vs other programs. And be a key scouter of diamond in the roughs/maximizing the talent and player development.
- Leverage the new facilities and try to convince whale donors to set up a fund to poach 3rd string offensive linemen from top 20 programs. You build a program through the QB and oline.

I think the way I want to spin this one is having shown the ability to build a winning culture with a team full of lightly-recruited 3 stars developed over time.
Elliott was too used to 4 and 5 stars to be able to win with the kids he can get at UVA.
Also means donāt expect some slick recruiting HC is going to be able to start pulling blue chip kids as UVAās FB coach. We are who we are.

Itās no coincidence that our. most successful coaches are guys from restrictive recruiting environments. Military and Mormons, go hoos.
(I donāt have a compelling explanation for Groh but he did spend some time at Army!)

This reminds me I forgot to post. Took a trip back to my childhood Arbyās for breakfast yesterday morning because they started doing it again. Sausage egg and cheese wrap with potato cakes and a pumpkin turnover. Literally the only W I picked up yesterday.
