I love winning
Thanks @BDragon …I’m finally where i can hopefully get some.
So, when Dante Harris is fully recovered, will Gertrude have surpassed him in the rotation? Everything I’ve seen thus far suggest that Gertrude’s intangibles make him a better choice even if he is likely to make more mistakes. And, I’m not convinced he would make more mistakes than Harris.
Probably depends on the game match ups 73. But generally I agree with you, Gertrude has the better upside for us. Still there will be situations where Dante will help us.
Yes
Umm hell yeah
I’m going to guess he meant North Carolina A&T.
TB seems enamored with Elijah. TB mentioned Elijahs God given talents in his press conference
Shit so was am I
Yeah the way Tony talked about Gertrude even with the redshirt was about how his skillset is unique.
As @DoctorHoo noted, it was not lost that Gertrude in his 2nd game was the first off the bench. His impact with his rebounding and rim protection immediately was solid. excited to see what he can do when he gets into it later on in the season
I was close enough!

He probably means NC A&T but either way we covered in that game and against Texas Southern. So you may not be “enamored” with our play but we’ve covered in every win this season EXCEPT the series in fort meyers. Maybe we just had a bad tournament - seems likely.
We didn’t play well there, but Wisconsin also might be a pretty damn good team. Even as we were sucking against them, I was impressed with how they played.
Also not lost on all of us. The focus on rebounding has been real. Imac collected lots of early rebounds today. And the team collectively blocking out has been great the last two games
Yeah you can tell Tony loves Elijah. Thinks he’s special. He does mention improving his shot which is my only concern for him. Two jumpers have been an air all and a shot off the backboard. I’ll give it a lot more attempts before I draw any conclusions though
I learned from this that they call Rohde “Drew” and it never before had occurred to me that he might be a Drew.
I can see Dante playing only backup pg minutes with Eli backing up at 2. Hopefully we are done with the Reece Dante lineups for good
I also liked how at the end, with the final question about Harris coming back (“sprained it pretty badly”, didn’t get an eta), he mentioned iMac as getting better about defending the point of attack to take Harris’s place in the meantime. “Plus, we’ve got other folks who can guard the point of attack like Ryan… and Elijah.”
I see Imac developing into an elite positional defender. He has that dawg in him. He has the mentality and physical skills and he is only going to get better. He’s just getting started.
