If Iām calculating correctly, we still control our own destiny to the ACC title gameā¦there are five 1-loss ACC teams remaining. We play Duke (which we have to win anyway) and GT plays Pitt, which would leave three 1-loss teams max. According to https://bball.notnothing.net/acc.php?sport=fb, even if SMU and the GT/Pitt winner also win out, we would finish top 2 based on common opponent record and conference opponent winning percentage.
ā¦with all of that said, this is not a championship-caliber football team lol and if Morris is out next week we lose by 15+
No reason to go into full panic yet. Wait and see where Chandler is, but even if he canāt go next week the Duke defense is nowhere close to wakes defense.
We talked about this on the pod, virtually just needed 2 of 3 (including Duke) to make the ACC championship game.
Iām feeling a lot better about our ability to keep Dukeās offense contained. Absolutely crazy to think weāre more worried about our offense going into that game than our defense. Imagine saying that after the FSU game
Board has been down for me on PC for a couple hours now, didnāt realize it was working on mobile. Anyone else dealing with this or is my stuff just fucked lol.
UVA rallies and pulls off 10-7 win vs Duke, 7-3 win vs Hokies, and 14-10 win vs GT to make playoffs. One of South Carolina or Clemson poaches Elliot and we hire _______ who finds a way to keep Rud, hire Beck/Hagans, and poach UNC/Penn State players as well as top 20 program 2nd and 3rd stringers as well as Claiborne from Wake
I had a bad feeling about this week when I kept reading about the last time we were 8-1, in 1990. Because I remember exactly what happened that game ā I was in Scott for that one as a 16-year-old. Shawn Moore broke his thumb at the end of the game on a play inside the 10 as the clock was running out. We lost. He missed the next game and VPI waxed us.
