Didnāt want to hijack the game thread, but where were you for 1995 FSU?
I was at Keesler AFB in MS, and was graduating tech school the next day. I was the only UVa fan in our section of the dorm, but for some reason a ton of Florida & Georgia fans, who all hated FSU. Helluva night, they were going as crazy as I was when Dex stopped Dunn at the 1.
I was in 9th grade and my dad had a friend who had season tickets that decided to bring us along. We were around the 50 probably like 10-15 rows up and parked right at the stadium. I remember watching people pour alcohol in their sodas and being like but it says no alcohol haha. My dad made me go to school the next day which ended up being great because I got to brag about being at the game.
I was in 8th grade and watched with my friends next door. Their parents had season tickets but didnāt take their kids haha. We had a blast. Iāll never forget that last play!
People just donāt understand the invincibility that FSU Had at that point. It was shocking for so many
My Dad wasnāt/isnāt a drinker but when he was in grad school at UVa (and I was 9-10 at the time) I learned what bourbon smelled like sitting in the student section with him
I was in middle school maybe 7th grade. I couldnāt watch the game because we didnt have ESPN. I listened on the radio but fell asleep before the ending. I woke up at 1 or 2 in the moring and Channel 29 had converted to CNN headline news and I stayed up until they ran the score on the crawl on the bottom of the screen.
Watching on TV in my apartment in Georgia, girlfriend had gone to bed before the end so I had to keep my celebrations muted. Called my Dad (a double Hoo) to celebrate but of course he was at the game.
10 year old soccer player with no knowledge of college football (liked the Redskins as the local team), but my dad had taken me to a game a year or so of the Claudio Reyna soccer 4-peat which is what put UVA as my favorite college growing up.
Junior in high school. My friendās dad had tickets and took my buddy and I. Lower bowl on the 50 about 20 rows up. Was my favorite sports memory until we won the natty in basketball. Unbelievable energy in Scott that night. I also learned, itās a pretty long drop from the stands to the field.
I was at a bar in Santa Monica watching the game with my wife. Next to an FSU fan. The silence was golden when the clock hit :00. Dude fled into the night w/o a word
I was living in Atlanta (in my mid-20ās). I had a co-worker whoād gone to FSU who didnāt even know we were playing. When I mentioned it to her, she said, āOh - whatās the score going to be, 50-0?ā I left the front page of the sports section on her desk afterwards.
