Sounds like he wants to give TB a chance to really press him for a commit otherwise if the other 3 have been recruiting him hard why even visit us and *not a different school?
Judging by this weekend, North Carolina has a good margin with Taylor or thinks they do. Assistant on Friday at Blue Ridge, Hubie all day at DeMatha today. Of course, they don’t wake up Boeheim for these scholastic weekends lol So maybe don’t read into Syracuse absence.

I had always been under the impression that Taylor would do an “unofficial visit” to Virginia. That opinion was based on the fact that he intimated that he would visit Virginia, and the thought that he would use his other OVs for schools not so conveniently located (for him). I imagine if he is using an OV for Virginia, then he might not be planning to visit anyone else. Sounds like he is ready to put his recruitment into its final stages. And, regardless of where he might intend to go to school, a possible dinner with Tony Bennett and friends can’t be a bad thing.

Yeah I imagine it’s a “I have one or two official visits left might as well use them”. I dont sense much urgency on either side in this case.

The tweet got deleted hmmmm. Maybe the Whitmore offer from UNC pressures Taylor to commit there before his spot gone? Would be easier to recruit against Maryland and Villanova for Whitmore rather than Maryland, Villanova, and UNC.

I assume he meant to or did say unofficial visit and Jack reported official. So he deleted the tweet. A lot of this is just optics, imo. I’m sure the coaches want it known that Justin had the opportunity to come to UVA and he wants it clear that he gave it full consideration.

Yeah, I agree with that. We want Traudt and he’s certainly got a lot of hype, but it seems cruel that the guy who is REALLY blowing up isn’t like a late ‘21 or even a ‘22. Why does he hav to be a ‘23? Ugh.
