And Oregon about to beat AriZona

Can you say parity? Really think 30 teams “could” win it this year

Anyone seen anything about this?

That’s one of those fake sports reporter accounts like the Jim whatever that does the UVA “breaking news”

So no, not real.

I saw it. He was very rude actually, not letting her ask her question and cutting her off…charges filed though?

11 ranked teams lost yesterday (9 on the road as someone mentioned). 2 more today (1 on the road).

Road games are dangerous everywhere. We were scared of yesterday’s game and should be of next Saturday’s at WF.

Not complaining about our recruiting in the least but I cannot believe that Rutgers of all schools got a 5-star recruit before we did:

And I dont think they are done. That guy can coach too

Yup, I think they’re eyeing another of Ron Harper’s sons which would be crazy. Pikiell is doing a great job there

Wonder if they’ll redshirt him?
Jokes aside, I’m 100% convinced that has a ton to do with why we never land one. What 5* player on the planet would commit to a program where there could legitimately be a chance they get redshirted.

Because if they were a legitimate 5 star they wouldn’t redshirt in the slightest LOL. Tony’s not that dense. That’s an insane take. Kyle Guy, Ty Jerome, Joe Harris, McKneely, etc. etc. If you are good you will play. Tony said Traudt would earn minutes this year and he’s a 50-100 ranked recruit in the front court. Traudt made that decision on his own. Of course the log jam in front of him may have played into that.

5 stars have camps that want to get paid and feature more iso ball to showcase their skills.

Yep. Thats exactly right

Yeah I think freedom in the offense is a big part of it (as opposed to pace of play). There have been plenty of guards who have gotten big minutes early on to the point that if we do get a 5-star guy soon that would probably be the type. But it’s a weird back-and-forth where UVA guys stick in the league well because they learn to value possessions more on offense but that same style of play can be limiting to their NBA prospects. Guys are going to learn to play the right way but they may not post eye-popping numbers.

Although it always drove me crazy that Jay Wright could both recruit 5-stars and get them to stay multiple years but that’s a whole other discussion.
