Nope - UCLA too good.

I don’t think they had enough security guards for this situation. I counted only 7 to escort her out.

That’s what i was thinking, like wow are they expecting some serious trouble from this cheerleader? Better bring backup!

I’m watching Ohio State put up 14 points in the first half. Can’t help but think we dodged a bullet not getting Sean McNeil. He’s playing fine but he would have really screwed up our roster.

Gotta be a miserable year for him too, spending his fifth year on a losing team at a school he can’t feel much of a connection to. I’m sure he got decent NIL money but imagine he’d probably rather have turned pro in hindsight.

That clip is gold. ā€œCussin’ and fussin,ā€ the cheerleader almost kicking a player in the nuts, the cheerleader walking 10 ft onto the court to confront a player, the 12 security guards for 1 cheerleader and last but not least, the matching top and bottom sweats tucked into the size 17 UGGs.

I think there will be some complaints about Ohio St’s computer ranking (#39 in KenPom, #46 in T-Rank before the MSU game), but they are a good example of how using a strength-of-resume measure like Wins Above Bubble can handle the case of the mediocre team in a strong conference that sometimes trips up the selection committee. OSU is #113 in the T-Rank Wins above Bubble measure, as they have recorded 3 less wins than a theoretical bubble team would be expected to get against the same schedule.

Looks like Purdue is about to go down. Down by 6 to Northwestern with 12 seconds left.

Forgot all about him. I’m glad we didn’t get him too and instead leave all of those minutes to McKneely

I imagine if Taison Chatman decommits from Ohio State we probably still aren’t an option for him since NIL is so important.

But at the same time most other schools are filled, We would be left best standing.

But also at the same time I cooled on him hard anyways after watching Nick Janowski put up 40 points on him in a high school game recently. His defense is so lazy and his offensive game is a little too relaxed. Ive seen Minnesota fans who watch local high school games come to that same conclusion when they watch Totino; Chatman is skilled but the effort is absolutely lacking.

He’s also not really a point guard and Im higher on Bliss.

Antoine Davis at Detroit is now 185 points behind the Pistol for all time leading NCAA career scoring.
He has 3 reg season games left and at least one conference tourney game left where they will likely be favored to advance one round … that would give him 5 games to average 37 points per game to get there … they most likely would have to advance to their tourney final to have a real chance (7 total games and an average of 27 points per game to get there. Would need 31 a game if they lost in the semifinal.
Amazing he’s this close …
Of course the Pistol did it in 83 games.
Davis has already played in 138 games.

Will Detroit play in one of those awful tournaments like the CBI or whatever it was? At one point there were a few of those. Are they still around?

They’re 11-16 so postseason seems unlikely, barring a run in their conference tourney.

Also just realized AJ Oliver is on Detroit Mercy. Son of Anthony, formerly of Clemson and ODU.

Those tourneys are still around, fwiw.

Good point. This kids scoring is proly a draw in itself and the tourney would get props if record broke at their event

I think Anthony Olivers son, AJ, transferred there this year as well

I wasn’t sure if those tournaments even required a team to be .500 or better. Thought they might be desperate enough to take whoever wanted to play

Good question – I just assumed it was at least an informal rule. But you’re right – that would be a draw
