Should I watch GWIII highlights today or not? Kind of torn on this. (Really don’t want to let my Elmarko dream die, but maybe that’s for the best).

Aren’t GWIII and Elmarko very different players at different positions? Not that I want to see you suffer with unrealized dreams, but this doesn’t appear to be one of those Kierkegaardian choices. At least, not to me.

Some places list him as a combo guard. My guess is we would project him as a PG?

I read over the weekend on on3 that GW3 had a 1 to 2 assist to TO ratio, shot 35ish% from the field and 22% from 3 in summer play. Those numbers are from memory but are directionally accurate. Could have been a small sample size. Regardless, they curbed my enthusiasm greatly.

Would be fine with riding out Young Peja’s recruitment until he tells the staff he’s heading elsewhere. Otherwise the 2024 class seems to be deeper and more talented at positions of need, still a bit nervous as that cycle is basically the last shot we have at landing our future PG but it’s also not bad to have the recruiting pitch of immediate playing time in our back pocket for the higher rated players.

Yeah chances are incredibly slim but I don’t see any harm in continuing to recruit him. He’s not necessarily a need if Gertrude commits but he is a really talented player that we’re in the top 5 for. Even if we’re a distant 5th I think you keep contact until he gives you a definitive no.
