2022 Selection Sunday Discussion Thread

Instantly took over ESPN. Quite sad to see. “Oh wow, Brady is coming back!” That’s all they had to say. Instead, let’s take an hour to say the same thing.

To be fair ESPN doesnt have the rights to March Madness so I doubt they care about cutting into any CBS promotional time.

Made peace with us going to the NIT, but if the M’s don’t play for a majority of the time I’m going to run through a wall.

Do they broadcast this?

Wow that’s bullshit

Edit: It’s a home game due to scheduling issues!

If they win and match up with north Texas, that over/under might be set at like 95 lol

Shows how far off the bubble we actually were. 6 seed in the NIT. No home games

The sports leagues/NCAA all have an understanding of when to and when not issue blockbuster news. It’s not network related at all. For instance, the Sports world does nothing on super bowl Sunday. No headlines. No trades. No anything. Its the NFL’s day. It’s an unwritten rule. Like Sunday at the masters or pick your favorite day in sports. Just surprised the NFL did that on Selection Sunday.

Wait did they just say we are hosting instead? A slip up or something already happening at their arena?

Yup. Scheduling issues apparently. Big for us

It’s because free agency starts this week and Brady wanted free agents to know he’ll be on the Bucs. Once Brady posted it the networks weren’t going to ignore it.

We are at JPJ round 1?

Did they announce when the game is?

Yup

Is it the same committee who picks the NIT? If so, absurd Rutgers makes the tournament and we are a “6” seed in the NIT…

Edit: Miss State was 8-10 in conference and got dominated by Lville based on a quick scan of their record. Anyway, should be extra motivation to beat them.
