The news and takeaways are whaf it mean for our team ans minutes played. I mean you guys have stolen my Life at times determining who will play how many minutes during the season by even breaking down minutes per player per position etc

Thatās a bit concerning. Eye test and numbers didnāt back that up. Next time you are in town remind them size is correlated to winning in basketball lol especially at the college level
Kihei was great at some things at defense and not great at others and pretty weak at certain things. But one time he got a backcourt violation, and Tony gave him a high five and itās easy to acquire a rep (in this case, good) and hard to change it, once acquired.
Thats a tough one for me cause I was small at 6-1 and wanted to play a ton hahah
Yea what I noticed especially last year is Kihei seemed to be exempt from criticism. Not exactly how to put it, but the coaches seemed to treat him like he could do no wrong (my observation watching)
I donāt really understand how you can watch the Clark-Beekman backcourt this past three years and conclude that we should run it back

This kind of ties in to the Kihei/Reece discussion, but why did the 2020-21 team just not seem all that in sync offensively?
I know it was the weird COVID year, which probably played a part, but we had shooters. All 3 of them are playing in the NBA.
Offense was very good if I remember. But shouldāve been better with talent. My sense was not great complimentary pieces. Murphy and Hauser both college 4s but too good not to play at same time. Huff not a traditional big on the low post. Too many spacers. Also didnāt adjust the offense quick enough imo.

Maybe itās just me trying to block that year out altogether (in general, not hoops specifically), but I remember there being games where we looked great offensively, and othersā¦not so much.
But itās hard to fault the team when we didnāt know from one game to the next if it would happen, practices werenāt consistent, arenas were empty, etc. Oh, and we got knocked out of the ACCT without losing a game, and we all know about the circumstances leading up to Ohio.
That observation about Kihei and CTB having a special relationship is why Iāve been holding out some hope that we wouldnāt see lots of the Dante and Reece pairing this year. My feelings about the pairing change if one or both of them are legitimate 3P threats.

Yep. I said and still believe Kihei could have been perfect spark off the bench and could still play lots of minutes.
Let Dante start the games watching and then can sub 2 or 3 positions and bring that spark
Iām ok with a āsmallā lineup if the small is the wing/forward spots with either elite shooting or athleticism. Or a versatile player like Dunn at the 5.
I just donāt think Harris gives us an advantage if paired with Reece, because heās not a shooter. Feel like weāll need 2 of IMac, Rohde & Groves on the floor with them to keep spacing right and the offense flowing.
