I took the train once for midsummers and the entire train of hungover UVA students on sunday back was a funny experience

I am retired from 2 hour commutes for myself. But I get you.
That was 20 plus years ago for me. But yea it’s doable.
It’s at least 15-20 minutes more each way now. Maybe a lot more depending on where in Nova you were going.

University of Iowa is in Iowa City which is a nice college town. Ames is admittedly a lot like Blacksburg.

It’s both amusing and sad to consider how low the SEC will go to win in sports. The list of coaches that are dirty or will at least look the other way at gross misbehavior or scandal is endless. The Nate Oats/Alabama crap is just the more recent version of Urban Meyer/Florida. In retrospect, it makes me wonder why Will Wade was fired. I mean LSU will get as dirty as any of them, but was it the “caught on tape” factor that made him indefensible?
I looked up Wade’s bio and was stunned to see his background. Among various stints, he was an assistant under Tommy Amaker at Harvard and brought in a Top 25 recruiting class. Knowing what we know now, was there hidden scandal at freaking Harvard? How could they possibly get a Top 25 class without shenanigans and how on earth in a league without athletic scholarships could they get down in the dirt to that extent?
