I wonder if all the pundits will question their ability to win in March after a 16 seed loss and a 15 seed loss in back-to-back years? I bet Forde isn’t writing an article about their failures.

Purdue is probably the closest program to UVA in terms of how they go about things recruiting etc. So I don’t find it nearly as comforting as if it were Kansas or something. But still nice not to be the only one I guess.

I bet they actually will because “[player/coach/team] is a fraud!” after a high profile loss is the easiest column in the world to lazily write. See it with Gonzaga/Few, I think even Jay Wright had gotten it before their natties, etc.

Our first- and second-years weren’t even born when Melo won that one. They were in high school when we won ours.
Big freaking difference.
To be fair we never had expectations of winning the national title at all. They had it twice.
