Just have to say, it’s sooooo much more fun having a team that’s securely in the tournament and fretting about being either a 4 or 5 seed as opposed to last year when we had to watch Selection Sunday from the sidelines.
We should be a 4. Go Hoos!
On Bracket Matrix, we’re a 4 in 34 of the 59 brackets that have come out today, 23 have us as a 5, and one each on the 6 and 7 lines (both of which would be an absolute joke).
Wow that’s close. I feel like we have an argument for being ahead of Indiana, but Duke (and maybe even San Diego State?) have an argument for being ahead of us. Not sure what the committee will make of our, Tennessee’s, and Xavier’s injury situations.
I posted that here two minutes before Danny on Twitter!
You are clearly Danny.
Ha — I met him in Minny in 2019 at the hotel bar and we had a few pops with him. Good dude.
Fight Club Vibes
Xavier, Tennessee, UConn, and Indiana have no business being in the top 16.
I could see UVA and Indiana getting paired up with each other as 4 and 5. Which I’m cool with
I really want Purdue’s bracket.
Being in a pod with Iona and Oral Roberts would be wild. Those are going to be among some of the favorite upset picks.
As said, moving IU down to a 5 makes more sense than us.
Would love to match up with IU in the second round. Their fans are nutso. Would be fun.
Good thing Bennett owns Pitino, and Pitino sticks with his matchup zone and 1-3-1 press even when they’re not working.
Agree. iU then Pitno would fun. Didn’t know Iona ran a zone, might be the cure for our sub 30% shooting
Its kinda strange that Im more afraid of the 12-13 seeds than I am Indiana in the round of 32.
Indiana’s weakness is they have no 3pt shooters. Which kinda feeds into the packline.
Basically two toss up games but the first one
we have to play the role of favorite. Don’t have that pressure for the second round against Indiana/TCU/Iowa State but have similar odds of winning
