I know I complained about the same thing last year…but the uneven distribution of tournament game times on weekends is weird. I’m sure it makes tv sense but still awful.

What I find interesting with Duke is that with that many 5-stars and NBA one-and-dones… it’s a different beast when it comes to coaching… a lot of it is personality tempering… definitely different than other times I bet.
I imagine it’s sort of like being a big budget movie director keeping a cast of famous actors happy.

They brought back the point guard from a final 4 team and 3 of the top 4 recruits in the country. He did an okay job in year 1 but the praise has been over the top

Remember 62% of ESPN “experts” picked Duke to make the Final Four. I mean these guys are “EXPERTS” How can they be so wrong?

Judging from our post-mortems, Duke obviously had mid-major talent and length, no shot-getters, and antiquated systems — because that’s how you lose to purportedly inferior teams in March.

I’m actually surprised at how good Duke ended up being. I expected this year to be a total disaster for them. They’re built like a team from the 90s, starting two centers, a power forward at the 3.
They kinda found their identity as the year went on though. Lively emerged, they became a defense first team. And then made the switch to putting the ball in Proctor’s hands more as he got comfortable. I think it was a pretty good coaching job.

I mentioned yesterday that the officials had lost control of the St Mary’s game and it was beyond basketball physicality… at least the way the sport is intended. Todays games mirrored that as well.. not sure if it was a directive from head of officials or if they are just letting stuff go… SDSU was very handsy and physical on the guards and so was Tennessee and both were allowed fouls that have been called all year … will be interesting to monitor moving forward.
