Whoa man, check out the Reed Sheppard highlight at ~1:31 or so. Really makes me eager to see the full court pressure that Tony is building this summer** to maximize the skills of Reece, Dunn, Bond, Elijah, and Rohde. https://twitter.com/KentuckyMBB/status/1679219528507486208?s=20
** It would be malpractice not to, right?
(also, you can see why @DFresh11 has said UK is high on Sheppard. He missed all his FGs but he has like 3 or 4 highlight plays in this package, anyway. This is just game 1 of a foreign trip after a few weeks of practice, but doesnât have the look of a kid whoâs about to be buried)
Clips of duke. A lot of Power and Stewart at the 5/small ball looks. They have a lot of guard depth so they can move power to small ball 5 and space the floor big time.
I was curious about the Canada roster, and it looks like itâs a mix of players who play at US mid-majors (thereâs one guy whoâs listed as being at Butler who just transferred there from Northeastern) and Canadian universities. The event is all U23, I believe.
I think Kentucky will be very good this year, better than I thought before this trip
televised college hoops are fun! Itâs too bad that our otherwise awesome, kind, and wise coach is so narrow-minded and selfish on this point, isnât it?
Okay so I appreciate college ball whenever we can get it, but is this equivalent to our 4 year trip to Italy? I could be wrong and time could be flying too quickly but it seems like Kebtucky already had a recent opportunity to play internationally more recently than 4 years, right?
Apparently the Globl Jam does NOT count as a foreign trip, so teams that participate as the US team (like Baylor last year, KY this year) essentially get an extra trip.
