Not the reason at all.

I mean I agree it’s probably not the staff’s fault.

But I think it’s reasonable to at least wonder if they are doing anything outside of the norm in regard to the intensity of workouts.

Sad news for the James family. We are learning more about incidents like this as the research comes out there are so many abnormalities in people’s hearts. I don’t think the USC staff has done anything extreme or necessarily dangerous.

It’s definitely worth someone looking seriously at the data here - how likely are these events among college players? what are the chances it happens at the same school twice in a concentrated period of time?

I’d guess it just ends up being fluky for the reasons @BDragon mentions, but it’s still worth a careful look.
