Miami at 37 on 3MW preseason rankings. If they are this low I assume we are not going to be included

I still think we show up late 20s to mid 30s or so. They seem pretty down on Miami compared to other rankers, and tbh, I tend to agree. I think Wong really made the offense work, last year. Plus Miller was also super efficient. The defense was poor, and I donât see anything that will make them better. They will still be very small in the post. The last time they broke the top 100 in D was 6 years ago.
I also think the 3MW guys basically think our backcourt was mediocre for 3 straight years, and Jim even straight up said last year he mightâve ranked us higher last year if Kihei hadnât come back. Fwiw, their twitter preview last year:

Love the similarities to 2017-2018. Lots of pundits looking at what we lost and missing some of the upside. Not saying weâll be anywhere near that good but I do love the idea of sneaking up on people. May take this team time to gel too which could get even more outsiders âdownâ on UVA. Then we sneak up on everyone by ACC play
