2023 Virginia Football

TLDR from what I remember, Hawk made a somewhat vague post on Twitter calling out journalists for talking out of their ass, Graham took it personal and got mad as hell, called Hawk a “washed up football player” at one point. And now Graham has written two articles about it in the AFP.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up at MTSU or a similar profile school; he’s a Nashville guy

Appreciate the summary there was no way I was going back to the AFO website

That makes sense. A directional Tennessee school feels on brand

If Coach O is working with these guys maybe we can start back channeling to get him roaming the sidelines for the Hoos. I’m willing to take a chance on classing up the swamp rat.

Doubt he needs any cash his way. Guy like that, a scholarship and playing time is probably enough.

Chris Graham actuality does a pretty good job when it comes to UVA sports. Very knowledgeable. Much more knowledgeable than the children on here …

Last time I saw Armstrong play in person, we were down 14-0 in the first four minutes because of pick-sixes. Here’s to lots of pick/sixes this Friday too.

4 minutes? more like 16 seconds lol.

Hey, I was at that game, too! Kept looking for reasons NOT to walk out. “I’ll wait one more series, see if they can get something going.” Never happened. Left at halftime.

I was at the Miami game that ended regulation tied at 6. At least you had some excitement. We just wanted the game to be over. It was awful football.

Sadly I’ve had that experience at a few Uva games dating back to the Groh era

I’m hoping for thr full BA experience on Friday. 17/39 282 2td picks. 22 yrds rushing.

Have you watched the last 2 weeks? Offensive playcalling is not what lost those games. If you want to re-litigate 2022 then sure but Kitchings is not the overarching issue today.

Agreed there are moments of “I wish they were more aggressive…” or “Maybe they shouldn’t have gone deep on back to back plays…” But while the play calling hasn’t been perfect I don’t blame it for the current teams shortcomings.

The offense has suffered from lack of talent on the line, and a string of solid to good playmakers but no one great. So there’s no room for error in the execution.

The defense is bad and that aint helping anyone. Gave up 11 unanswered in the 4th against JMU and I think UMD is still scoring TD’s.

Worst Virginia game I ever saw: We drove up to the Meadowlands to watch Rutgers beat us 3-0 on a fourth-quarter field goal. It was so bad, there was a point where we were rooting for a scoreless tie.

Damn… I’m sorry you need therapy for having to experience that. Two stand out for me.

1st UVA vs. Wyoming 2006. Took a missed extra point in OT for the Hoos to escape their season opener. In some ways I mark that as the beginning of the end for Virginia football. And I don’t think I’m wrong.

2nd is UVA vs. Clemson 2008 cold day in November and an absolute snooze fest of a game. Highlight was watching my boy vomit about a gallon of crab bisque over the back patio at Buddhist Biker Bar post game

Military bowl vs. Navy for me. About 25 degrees and windy in Annapolis. We return the opener for a touchdown, only for them to hang 42 unanswered on us. Miserable.

My “favorite” game of the Groh era. Biscuit threw a pick when we were in range for what would have been a game-winning field goal. Just a symphony of offensive ineptitude by both teams.
