Haven’t seen a lot of discussion of our game against W&M, but I think there’s a reasonable chance we lose. If we play the entire game the way we’ve played in the first half of most of our games, we win comfortably. If we play the entire game the way we’ve played the second half of most of our games, we lose. If we play the first and second halves the way we’ve played the first and second halves so far this season, it’s going to be close.

Can’t put anything past this coaching staff. I will watch but more for morbid curiosity than hopeful anticipation of progress. I do like watching AC and our WRs connect but the rest of it is frustrating and disheartening.

I’m optimistic. W&M has played one team with a winning record and that’s Elon who is 3-2 and they lost to last week. Combined records of opponents is 8-17.

W&M - all they do is run. And they have a pass defense.

If we lose, 0-12 starts looking actually plausible since we’d be done with the easiest games. It’d be UVA’s first winless season since 1960 and 3rd ever. The other two both happened under UVA’s unquestionably least successful football coach, Richard Voris, under whom UVA went 1-29 over 3 seasons. Getting into a club with Voris would not be good. As a Junior College Coach he went 20-0-1, but it apparently didn’t translate to UVA.
Also, just fyi, no UVA football coach has ever lost 11 games in a season. I’m sure Voris would have done it, but seasons were only 10 games long in his day.
So, I’m hoping we win.
