Three years played at K-State, never made much of an impact, so probably moreso here for depth purposes than as an impact rotation player. Of note her minutes and shooting %s ticked down every year she was there. Obviously will be the tallest player in the program at 6’7" so helpful for scrimmages at least.

A little surprising to me, unless she graduated early and is coming in as a grad transfer. I’m talking about the challenges of transfer of credits to UVA for an upperclass undergrad.

Looks like she was top 100 nationally out of HS, so not sure why not more of an impact at K State, but we definitely can use her size on the frontline.

Even if she proves to be no more than a depth/situational piece, I still love the pickup. We needed exactly that piece last year. And hopefully she’s more than that, given how she was viewed coming out of high school. I’ll choose to believe she was just working through that longer big-man development timeline.
From among Mox’s comments: “Her potential is off the charts! I am excited that she has two years to develop under our tutelage." That seems to imply a similar view from Mox, that she’s capable of more than what she did at K-State.
(Note that this also gets us back up to two Taylors, a critical need. With Valladay’s departure we were down to only one, which is dangerously low, playing with fire really.)
