also said he wonât fire anyone
Thatâs not surprising though, is it? Were fans thinking the intent was to push AC out? Because that would be a weird thing to think, seeing as we now have no starting QB.
Now that partâŚ
What a disaster. If we roll out the same staff, including Tony, next season we will have attendance in the 20s and maybe 2 wins overall. Nice work Carla!
All commits signed and we didnât lose anyone today, so thatâs a positive. Graduating 46 guys (plus more out transfers) and bringing in 18 means lots of portal work to be done. Hope we have enough depth to compete next season. Should be plenty of playing time available to be won.

The mountain of self-belief that you have to have to submit yourself to for a D1 head coaching job over tops Everest. Heâs not going to change anything because he KNOWS that he is RIGHT.
This is an insult to everyone that has ever cared about our football program. 3 years without a bowl and you just keep chugging along with no changes?
The concerning part is that ACâs transfer seems to have blindsided CTE and staff.
Itâs a failure on so many different levels. Itâs clear there was no pressure from Carla or the board on Elliott to make changes. Our only hope is that those conversations havenât happened yet.
Nah - I gotta think we get to at least 150 attending?
Next year will attendance be:
- In the 20âs
- At least 150
When you have the worst HC record in the Power 4, you have to double down on everything youâre already doing. Why would you make changes when everything is going so well?
I certainly agree that itâs concerning (to put it mildly), just figured it was seen as a given that the staff didnât know AC would be leaving.
Do players and staff count in the attendance total? This will affect my answer.
I think next year may make the COVID year attendance look robust.
Why would Carla care? She has one foot out the door.
*Edit: This is definitely not me, I will not be in attendance. Some other poor soul can be tribute.
Iâm not that phased weirdly enough. TE going out with his guys, which will be his undoing ulimately (among a bunch of other things). We hire a new coordinator right before hiring a new coach next year just doesnât move the needle all that much. Itâs more than likely a lame duck season.
If he is this set on bottoming out for a season before we fire him, we might as well just fire him now. This is so infuriating.
Thereâs the 7-8 million weâd need to pay 2 staffs in 2025. Or at least 4ish mil for Elliott. I mean itâs short sighted since theyâll probably lose at least that much revenue from decreased attendance/parking/concessions and donations.
I know nothing about how these pressers go, but is there a shot TE doesnât want to publicly hang a guy or open the door to speculation before privately going over firing one of his assistants?
