The games within the game
Yep not uncommon at all. Although I donāt think AC won too many of those games.
Nope hesan instinct player falls back on what he knows and feels and reacts. Works when playing the unprepared or if youāre a super athlete. Those are are in the P5.
Definitely not uncommon, I just feel like thatās the one thing I hear Elliott harp on when things outside those four minutes on each side absolutely cost us too
so @HoozGotNext just curious are you able to get inside info on football to?
Tom Brady had 10 interceptions his first year as a starter at Michigan (his junior year), on 323 attempts (3.1% int rate, compared to 3.7% for ACās true freshman year).
Bad decision maker was the knock on him early on. Coaching makes a difference.
I canāt imagine walking into a presser after dropping number 19 out of 20 to your in-state rival and 24/26, missing out on a bowl, and talking about the middle 8.
āOther than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?ā
Okay I get your point but so far youāve thrown out Joe Burrow and Tom Brady as examples of late bloomers.
Yes it absolutely happens but there are scores of guys it does not happen for. Coaching and situation are absolutely crucial but at the end of the day the athlete has to have the natural gifts and talents to build on.
That is a fair point, but again, our program has been struggling for decades. At some point you HAVE to take risks on some guys, otherwise you are going to be stuck in mediocrity like us.
Assumed was middle 8 of the field. Like filed advantage all year.
The pin down of college hoopsā¦
Aaaaand Brady is still 6-4
That wasnāt Dragonās argument. His was that itās harder to coach kids who make mistakes.
Colandrea made mistakes his first year. Elliott & Co., instead of working with what they had, they tried to turn him into something heās not. Just like they did to Brennan Armstrong. And they absolutely ruined him.
Itās been amateur hour in McCue for three years. Enough of this shit.
Yea. I get that part for sure
damn looks like unc is close to getting a deal done to get the tulane coach job sumrall if true they might be scary
Yeah thatās a great hire. One more school weāll be getting left behind by.
Butch Davis, Mack Brown (second time around), Larry Fedora ā none of those guys was scary, and they should have been. But itās Carolina. You have no historical frame of reference at all.
UNC has been a āSleeping Giantā in football since before the dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Yes, but they are our twin for purposes of conference realignment. Success for them becomes second-hand success for us.
you have a good point i guess
It is harder to coach kids who make mistakes and have poor habits that lead to those mistakes. Ask any coach at any sport changing someones mental approach is hard.
Did AC get perfect coaching absolutely not. Could he also be a difficult athlete to coach up? Yes. Some athleres never get it together despite having solid coaching. Thereās 1000s of examples
