I just want OC gone. I’ve come to terms CTE gets another year. Don’t think donors are needed for him to be replaced

Maybe he had a gpa that matched his td to int ratio?

Taylor Lamb’s co-OC in 2016-2017.

They’ll have something for signing day but questions will be limited to that most likely. It’s not like the uva gaggle presses UVA coaches on anything anyway.

That signature is a mess, it’s like he bailed early and headed quickly to the edge

We’re up to 4 players in the portal. I expect many more to follow. There were also 41 seniors who walked on senior day. So yeah. Y’all thought this year was bad?

This is why now is an ideal time to move on. No players to lose!

Diata is a grad transfer which is totally fine. He did his 4 and is moving on to bigger things!

Good article from Hootie. Nothing most of you aren’t aware of but lays out why UVA’s admissions standards are such a problem in football, particularly with transfers. I think there’s more complexity to the issue but it’s a choice UVA needs to make, whether or not to bend a bit. And it’s not irrelevant in other sports either, as we’ve seen basketball transfers hit snags.

I wish we viewed athletic excellence as a skillset akin to a kid who pays tutors to get a 1400 on the SAT.

It really is pretty simple. Change the requirement to 36 credits of last 60 for any athlete on scholarship to post their degree from Virginia. Make the change.
Shoot my alma mater was only 15 of last 24.

Could this also be done through a simple waiver system? They obviously don’t want this to apply to the majority of students, so could they make you have to fill out a waiver and get it approved to get around the rule? And then just reject all the ones that aren’t athletes?

One of my roommates at one point had to do a waiver to get around the 8 semesters rule due to some medical issues. Seems like a similar process could be used.

I thought athletic participation and excellence could be a component of an admissions decision if you had it. Like musical ability or artistic ability or acting/theater?

12 denials from admissions!? does admissions hold bball transfers to same standard? are ours higher than duke, cal, stanford?

I think the takeaway is that most schools put their football players into some absolutely b.s. academic tracks.
