Karl Hess was pretty universally despised

Wasn’t him, but thanks. I could be misremembering, name may not start with an R

Could only be Lenny Wirtz - haha

Rick Hartzell?

With you on this Hav, not only because of the elite skill, but Isaac will be on track to graduate, a four year member of the team, and a great representative of the U. Pony up the $1mill to keep, him. He’s the guy you want to keep coming back for visits, etc. as part of the “program.”

Also, he suffers because of the comparison to Kyle - he’s not quite him so we’ve discounted just how effing good iMac is - plus, next year I think he just will be lights out. He and Rohde should be part of the future (I’m still out on DD because of defense).

You can learn defense. You can’t learn creating your own shot, and that’s a skill only Ames possesses on the roster that’s playing right now.

And we’ll very likely be playing a different defense next year.

Agree you can learn defense, the question is whether he wants to as sometimes his effort, at least to me, is not exactly ”continuous” in Tony’s,parlance. Tha6 being said, I should have said my judgment is still out on him (earlier in the year I was in the camp that he shouldn’t see the floor) - he certainly has shown a better ability to finish around the rim and his outside shooting (although I really hate the 13-16 fade away) has been a pleasant surprise.

There have a number of times this year when that fade away has ended a serious drought, so I like it just fine.

I will not argue (excessively) with success.

Do we get a trip to Europe this year? If so, it would be timely.

Italy trip was 2022, so I believe not until next year.

Just sue the NCAA, demand a Europe trip whenever the hell we want. That’s how you do it these days

If you could bring back Rohde, iMac and Rohde next year, would you do it?

To me it’s hard to shake that it’s 3/5 of a starting 5 that struggled to be competitive in the ACC. Wouldn’t call any of them great defenders or rebounders. Who would pair best with Chance?

Wait - Rohde has a clone or a brother?

Well, that double dose of Rohde makes it one of the best backcourts in the NCAA

Gertrude. And Dai Dai.
All 3 could stretch the D and get to the cup. And fast break effectively.

If you add Rohde to that group, then yes.

Would a lineup of 5 Rohdes have a better record than what we’re putting out there now?

Wouldn’t all Rohdes lead Rome?
