That’s a good name for a band.
We are … Clickbait Garbage!
For real who films all of this stuff? No way someone is making money of the engagements these kind of videos get. Do recruits hire videographers?
Proly lotta kids think is cool thing to do. I dont know
From some light IG stalking, I think it’s someone around the same age as Cofie (and the other HS athletes he makes videos of) who’s probably working on their videography skills and building up a resume.
Ah, ok. After some of the recent “do it for the 'gram” recruits, I was getting a little skeptical.
Yeah, I know STAB has a Broadcasting Club (I think that’s what its called). They had one group of kids who’d interview players after big games, other kids who’d film and/or capture the audio from parts of the game and the interviews, and a third group who’d edit the results together and post it online somewhere (and obviously some kids would do more than one of the things). Cofie’s school probably has something similar.
It’s high school kids. You can do a lot with sound/lighting/editing now. It’s much cooler than the best technology we had- answering machines.
You think answering machines were cooler than disposable cameras?

Looks like you made it my brother hahah
I learned that everyone has jobs still. And that contract expiration dates don’t really matter to TB haha
only took 12 years!
Ok, so check this out.
This is my first season on LRA, and I actually joined just a few weeks before all the insanity of the Trent Perry recruitment, and the incredible roller coaster of our transfer portal haul. I’ve gone in deep, going years back to catch up on all the important threads, leveling up my knowledge on high school recruiting, NIL, defensive and offensive strategies, etc. I’ve had a blast learning from all of you and finding a more productive outlet for my obsession with UVA hoops, which dates back to my undergrad years from ‘92-‘97 (five year plan is the best!). So thank you for that.
All that being said, I think I may have joined LRA at the peak of its existence. Going through the dopamine rush of Perry out, then Perry 98% in, then rumors of him getting cold feet, and then losing him to UCLA, and then the low low low of what was surely the demise of UVA basketball as we know it, only to have Warley walk in out of nowhere and tell Tony he was joining the squad, and then feeling much better that we ‘popped our portal cherry’ (sorry - not sorry), but still feeling glum that we were just barely hanging on while all our P5 rivals were stocking up with 5 stars, and then the insane double weekend of the Saunders+Power commit, Lang walking on, and then Dai Dai becoming a Hoo a little over a week later.
Over the last few weeks, there have been a couple of HS offers, and I’ve been diving in watching shaky gym footage trying to get a read on the ‘25 class and draw some opinions about our targets.
Did I join LRA at the height of its glory, and now will I be forever chasing the dopamine rush that came from an insane portal season? Can someone much more learned and wise than I give some guidance - will we ever experience such a collective drama unfold that causes me to be waking up in the middle of the night refreshing my browser to see the latest updates? How should I exist in the world now that the portal season is over? What’s the next big thing???
HGN figuring out that Tony made a special trip to see some kinda off-the-radar guy at a event that no other high major coaches are at, because he found his next hidden summer gem.
This is just tremendous and I give you an A - Would be an A plus if only you said you came to UVa and inmediately fell in love with the scrappy back up PG in your first year
Keep ridin helix
