The HS recruiting has stops and starts. May through early June and then August are the quiet times. Late June through July is filled with live periods, coaches on the road. Plus usually visits in late June. I usually try to get the rumblings of what people are saying about summer practices to fill in the August gap. Then September is the commitment season, more visits. And we’ll start to get into the frontend of things with 2026 recruits then, with coaches out visiting schools. Then get into preseason stuff. That’s about it.

The peak of LRA’s existence was “watching” the OT game against Mega (incl Tony T) with @rushdacote.

With the disclaimer that I haven’t listened to know exactly what was said…maybe it’s somehow being exaggerated…if they’re really trying to say Reece may come back to college, that’s incredibly irresponsible. Hard to believe such experienced people would do that. One google search to find the deadline and it’s clearly false. It’s pretty annoying to the rest of us in the UVA realm who then have to answer 100 questions about it.

Lol, yep. Click bait Chris Graham is the starter of the rumor, he says his ‘source’ that is ‘hardly ever wrong’ said Reece is considering coming back and of course Jerry runs with it on his pod. It’s sad, but as we’ve discussed many times Jerry has given up on real journalism.

I mentioned, above, murmurs. That’s overstating it; it’s more like a murmur. One person who is usually right about most things is indicating to me that there’s a possibility that Beekman, the four-year starter at the point for Beekman, is thinking about pulling out of the NBA Draft pool, which I could understand if it were to happen, given that Beekman has dropped well down past the end of the second round in the upcoming draft.
Earlier in the spring, before Beekman declared for the draft, I laid out a scenario in which it would make sense for Beekman to return, involving an NIL deal that would pay him somewhere between the G League contract minimum – a mere $40,000 – and the value of a two-way NBA/G League deal, which comes in around $500,000.
I’ll concede here that I have no direct insight into Beekman’s thinking on this, but it would shock me if the murmurs, murmur, whatever, turns out to be true.
Just passing that along, because that’s what I do.
