Our fave Duke Miles with 30 in the SEC quarters. The dream of a Virginia/Vandy round of 32 rematch in the 4-5 game might be dead, I think they should pass Texas Tech for the last four.

I cannot find a single P5 team entering the tournament with 28 or more wins and seeded lower than a 3 since at least 2000. What am I missing or are people crazy for thinking this is just going to casually be the first time?
In fact, I’m not even sure there has been a 3 seed.

For teams with 29 wins entering the NCAA tournament, just fyi, the only 3 seed or below among P5 teams was Pitt in 2004 at 29-4.

As far as I can tell. But I welcome corrections.
Our resume metrics would be a 3. Our predictive metrics a 4 or even 5. But this win improves both nicely. Maybe a close loss to Duke gets us a 3. A win and I’d really be sore if we didn’t get a top 3 seed.

I have to think this win should clinch our 3 seed.
I would also like to think that if we get to play Dook tomorrow and beat them that a two seed is also a solid possibility. Although that may be too hopeful.

I think after this win, we get to about 8.1 WAB, which is 7th pending other results. Beating Duke on a neutral court has to be about .9, and 9.0 WAB would currently be 4th.
