I’d go with c — 3 seed in Florida’s bracket. We match up well with Florida, and they can’t shoot.

Oh yeah I’d love that, I’m just wondering if we can get high enough up the 3 line for that to happen?

Maybe it’s my algo but starting to see more 3s for us trickle out this morning. Who knows if the committee was watching, but we played a great game against a great team in effectively a standalone prime time slot last night and a lot of people seemed to notice.

Yeah, probably.

Is Anderson fully healthy by that game? Probably? Definitely would take TTU if he’s playing hurt.

I’m not overly scared of BYU, but Dybantsa is definitely scarier than Anderson. Think TTU is better coached though.

I’m not too concerned about who we might hypothetically play in the second weekend. We may not be playing at that point, and if we are we’d have to be on our A game regardless (unless upsets happened). I just want to avoid bad matchups in rounds 1 and 2.

Agreed. The performance last night should alleviate concerns about our ability to have a chance against anyone in a S16/E8 setting.

NCAA just updated the official WAB rankings and UVA is still ahead of Vandy for now. They would pass UVA with a win so we need to root for Arkansas :face_vomiting:

Yep. If this team flames out the first weekend, it would suck and undermine what’s been a tremendous season. If we go up against Michigan in the sweet sixteen and get waxed, it would still be a success.

Not going to pin everything on a tournament run, but avoiding a loss to a criminally underseeded team (hello MSU) in the second game would be big.

Blindly trusting this guy because it means the Vandy game doesn’t even matter

The games today kinda don’t lol

I’m not sure the ones yesterday did either

Every game matters if we replace the committee with computers, or more accurately, a guy named Steve who pushes the ā€œupdate WABā€ button and ā€œupdate bracket buttonā€ 2 minutes before the Selection Sunday show.

Everyone who made a promotional half court shot throughout the season is entered into a drawing to see who gets to push the button (which is of course comically large and red). ā€œWelcome Jenny from Terre Haute, this year’s Big Button pusher!ā€

We are big Dayton fans today right?

Dayton getting in would be huge last minute add to our resume (and kill VCU morale a little, loosening Terrence Hill Jr stone).

I want a WAB seed list so badly. Being able to know exactly how every game would affect seeding would be so incredible.

Feels like you could also build an algorithm that would auto update the bracket based on certain criteria.

We cant have this because CBS wants to have a 3 hour long selection show and weeks of talking heads debating who should be in and then who got snubbed.

Could definitely go either way tonight.

The committee hardly moves teams for their own games on Selection Sunday. I cant imagine they have a contingency built in to move UVA based on the outcome of a Dayton / VCU

Latest bracket matrix update has narrowed the gap a bit further. UVA 3.56 vs Nebraska 3.33.

Gonzaga pisses me off. They play 1 bubble team in their conference tourney, get a week off and see their seed improve by nearly a full seed while other teams play 2-3 tourney teams in consecutive days.
