Well turns out they did pivot lol. Duke now reportedly involved with him and Travis Branham just took down his crystal ball prediction for KU.
Itās been a wild recruitment for this kid.

Yuck
Caleb Foster
Darren Harris or Isaiah Evans if he goes back
Sarr
Boozer
Ngongba
Very good team but not as good as this past yearās.
It seems kinda random which international recruits On3 has rated. They have:
But they donāt have:
I think heās back, he withdrew from the Combine.
3 seed that loses to a Buzz Williams team
Would need some more playmaking or Foster to regain his confidence. But they would be long and switch everything
Did Duke expect to get someone back they didnāt, ie draft? Theyāre really thin at guard, strange they havenāt addressed it better.
Uh ok Hokies. Would be a real shame
I assume heāll still end up at VT but it smakes no sense to me unless they somehow are his biggest monetary offer (which seems impossible). Who has Mike Young developed into an NBA guy? I think no one unless Iām forgetting. Iām sure they are guaranteeing a ton of playing time but others can do that too.
Maybe he just really likes Metallica
Fuck Bass Tech. Letās go on a 10 year run with Odom where they donāt win a game against us. Screw them and their club team Bass Fishing Natty.
Thanks @Merch - itās become a family heirloom.
Cedric Coward may stay in the draft
Drake Powell staying in the draft

UNC kinda has a thin roster if either of their freshmen guards arenāt ready to contribute. We might look back at next season and go āJaydon Young played how many minutes?ā
Hereās what Iāve got for UNC right now assuming Powell stays in the Draft as expected:
Departures | PG Elliot Cadeau (Transferred to Michigan) | 37 G, 27.8 mpg, 9.4 ppg, 6.2 apg, 34% 3P%
G RJ Davis (Graduated) | 37 G, 34.2 mpg, 17.2 ppg, 3.6 apg, 35% 3P%
SF Ian Jackson (Transferred to St Johnās) | 36 G, 23.8 mpg, 11.9 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 40% 3P%
SF Drake Powell (Turned Pro) | 37 G, 25.6 mpg, 7.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 38% 3P%
PF Ven-Allen Lubin (Transferred to TBD) | 37 G, 19.6 mpg, 8.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 68% FG%
PF Jaeālyn Withers (Graduated) | 37 G, 17.5 mpg, 6.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 49% FG%
PF Cade Tyson (Transferred to TBD) | 31 G, 7.9 mpg, 2.6 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 40% FG%
F/C Jalen Washington (Transferred to Vanderbilt) | 36 G, 15.9 mpg, 5.7 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 59% FG%
F/C Tyzhaun Claude (Graduated) | 20 G, 4.9 mpg, 1.2 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 50% FG%
Returners | G Seth Trimble (SR) | 34 G, 28.6 mpg, 11.6 ppg, 1.3 apg, 27% 3P%
F/C James Brown (SO) | 18 G, 2.9 mpg, 1.2 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 71% FG%
Additions | G Derek Dixon (4-star FR)
G Kyan Evans (JR Transfer, Colorado State) | 36 G, 28.2 mpg, 10.6 ppg, 3.1 apg, 45% 3P%
G/F Isaiah Denis (4-star FR)
G/F Jaydon Young (JR Transfer, Virginia Tech) | 32 G, 22.4 mpg, 8.1 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 30% 3P%
SF Jonathan Powell (SO Transfer, West Virginia) | 32 G, 30.1 mpg, 8.3 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 35% 3P%
PF Caleb Wilson (5-star FR)
PF Jarin Stevenson (JR Transfer, Alabama) | 37 G, 18.7 mpg, 5.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 43% FG%
C Henri Veesaar (JR Transfer, Arizona) | 37 G, 20.8 mpg, 9.4 ppg, 5 rpg, 59% FG% |
Think the starters are basically Trimble plus a bunch of the upperclass transfers, with the freshmen working in from the bench, including Caleb Wilson whoās projected as a one-and-done Lottery Pick next year. Could absolutely see Wilson overtaking Jarin, though, as the season progresses.
Thatās a bubble team at best. With a floor of .500 overall
Torvik really likes that team and dropping Powell only drops them from 14 to 20. Torvik model thinks Caleb Wilson is gonna be super high usage and super awesome.
But they had two potential NBA draft frosh last year and they barely made the tourney (probably shouldnāt have).
Torvik isnāt accounting for the Hubie factor, wherein he doesnāt really get the most out of his recruits.
