Ha I predicted losses at UNC and VT. Of course we can win both but I just picked those two, I dont think we run the table.
I picked UL to beat GT at home.

UL’s best chance for a win is in these next 3 games against BC, ND, and GT. First two on the road though.
This would be a great season to play/beat Duke twice.
Not an ACC game, but watching Purdue and Maryland. Been nagging me for a while, but when did the rule change so that if the player fumbles a pass and then picks it up after it hits the floor, he can then dribble. Back in the Stone Age, that used to be a double dribble.
I guess it came along with the euro step.
Agree. Still a double dribble in my book
From last year
Double dribble rules are insane.
I love that tweet. Funny on multiple levels. Even focusing only on last year, VT was the 7 seed in the ACC tournament and caught fire for a few days.
“This is Mike Young’s conference.”
Mike Young and his career 28-33 record in ACC play clearly has Bennett shook.
Had that one bookmarked
That has always been legal … however you have differing skill levels and knowledge among officials … a fumble never counts as a dribble … in fact the rule book specifically states:
You can fumble dribble fumble and recover and pass or shoot … but you cannot dribble fumble dribble …
Thanks DtW! Always helps when someone knows the rule book.
I think the rule gets fuzzy when people try to catch a pass by dribbling. Kihei does this frequently. So the fuzziness is was that actually a fumble (ok) or was it a control dribble (not ok)
Jokes on them we dont even recruit the state lol
Another way to word that question.
“Instate recruits: Which would you commit to? Virginia Tech who offers you and pushes hard for you? Or UVA who doesnt care about this state?”
Recruits: “Syracuse”
Mike Young: “…What?”
Winning is over-rated apparently.
A thing of beauty!
Yes - then it’s a subjective thing by each official … was that a controlled bat to the floor on the catch or not?
By the way I noticed live a ton of times both Kihei and Reece catch passes one handed and immediately start their dribble … no likey at all…
There’s a whole lot of things that appear to be a “subjective thing” by each official based on who is playing, game situation, color of uniforms, etc.
Consistency in ACC officiating is a huge issue.
