UVA losing to the Wisconsin by 24 doesn’t help. But also a top 3 big east team losing by 20 to Colorado State… sheesh.

Defense is hard, but I probably would put that on Dixon. Didn’t call out the screen so Moore got hung up and wasn’t in a position to affect the pass to Ryan or switch out and contest the shot. Just kinda hanging out in no man’s land, watching the ball.

UNC still not great vs this hectic Arkansas team.
But I do like them posting up Harrison Ingram and him passing/creating out of the post. We need to do that with Bond and Dunn, especially if Bond at the 3 is posting up a smaller guard where the defense has to help on Leon (and he can kick to where the help is coming from)

Yeah the Justin Moore post up on a guard was a staple of Jay wright and it’s continued. Also they sometimes go to it so quick. Like as soon as they get across half court BAM feed Justin Moore on a post up even in transition sometimes

That’s gonna be a good win for VT on paper, assuming things don’t turn in the second half. But Iowa State has just been garbage in both games down there. Open shooters all day for VT.

It’s also a good win for the “Milan Momcilovic in the portal to UVA” camp. Even if it requires the greatest sacrifice of cheering for the Hokies, it causes immense Hokie suffering in the long run

Iowa State not hitting 3’s outside of Momcilovic and not hitting their FT’s. That’s been the difference so far.

Iowa State looks pretty bad. Hokies are like a better version of the mid majors that upset us. Floor spacing and whatnot. I dont think they are good but I think they will be decent against us in a kryptonite kind of way.
But having Leon and Dunn as switchable wings will help immensely instead of hedging

Hokies play FAU next which should be a shootout.
Agree they’re probably not good but have shot well the last two nights and can beat anyone when that’s happening.

I love how now the recruiting watch never ends. Oh, the guy committed somewhere else? That’s okay, we’ll keep the watch going, maybe we can get him in the transfer portal…
