Damn it
Kadin has done that before. That’s also one of his strengths. Guarding on the perimeter and trapping on the hedge.
Strengths: that above, shot blocker, pick n roll lobs, good midrange shooting touch
Weaknesses: rebounding rebounding rebounding rebounding clumsiness rebounding rebounding inconsistancy rebounding rebounding
Scratch that. He’s him
Dang. Would have been a great win for the conference. Still… even making it close helps in the computer rankings, which matter
Damn. That was such a horrible last possession for Texas. They were lucky to get a tough shot up and nailed it! Hell of play though.
Too bad for Louisville. If only they could have gotten a defensive rebound when it mattered most.
Thank God Kadin doesn’t get the post game interview. That’s a win in my books
How was that foul on Texas on Louisville’s final possession not before the shot clock ran out? I swore I saw a second or two left when the Louisville player got bulldozed. And the ref initially called the foul. Anyway, so it is.
Did anyone watch the game? I’m curious how Shedrick scored his points. Were they all putbacks and lobs, or did he like actually have a post game or a midrange game?
I didn’t watch the whole thing, but most of what I saw was Louisville defending the pick and role horribly - he was getting wide open dunks under the basket. Plus Louisville rebounding horribly - so put backs. I mean, he still had a great game, but Louisville was not forcing him to do too much fancy.
Same old Shedrick.
Super awkward and a very poor rebounder.
But pretty great otherwise, fills up the advanced stats with his efficiency, and an elite rim runner/rim protector.
This is the same player but year older from last year. Wish we still had him.
Said it when he transferred…going to have a big year at UT. Would have been nice to have this year especially after dealing with the heartburn of four years of development.
If we still had him BB would be redshirting. I’ll take Buchanan playing all day long.
Not sure what nice mid-range touch means, but he shot 20% on mid-range 2-ptrs last year. His efficiency was almost completely from shots at the rim and most enabled by guards getting him the ball in dunking position, if he doesn’t fumble it.
To be fair we also didnt run much involving those types of play and therefore he never really got a chance to develop comfortability on the court in those types of situations. There is truth that Shedrick has more to his game then he got to show, even if he can be a little obnoxious about it in interviews
Regardless im happy with the Buchanan Robinson additions long term with their ceilings. And kadin gets an environment where he can be more featured. I think Tony and Kadin are both happier in their new situations
Disagree. Minor is the odd man out – we simply wouldn’t have taken his transfer. BB would be backing up Shedrick and getting 10-15 minutes a game, depending on how he and groves competed for the backup 5 spot.
Hell, BB beat out Groves for the starting spot, so I think BB would still be getting run with Shedrick here.
This exactly. I’m glad he’s getting a chance to play where and how he wants. I’m also glad that our team seems to have way less drama this year.
I’m sure most can relate, but I’ve had to work closely with many talented people who I did not enjoy working with. I always assumed both Kadin and CTB were in that boat. Life’s just too short sometimes.
You might be right here, but I don’t think BB gets 15 minutes a game. Hard to tell. Point of personal preference: there is nothing Shedrick did in this one game that makes me want a situation different than what we currently have.
Shedrick shot 12 mid-range 2-pointers all of last year. Blake Buchanan has already shot 10 thru 4 games. It’s not like Bennett won’t give a green light for a guy to shoot if it’s a good shot. Buchanan just has a better all-around offensive game and is confident to use it.
