I feel like UNC found fools gold yesterday playing with a jumbo lineup…Ingram, Withers, Bacot all together. Now they’re starting that way…let’s see how it works for them.

Had a similar thought. Also had a thought as this game tipped. I kinda like or well have grown to reapect Bacot. His development and the fact he’s stuck it out all this time. Impressive.
Also I have Covid and this may all be a fever induced hallucination

Lasted 3 minutes, then Cadeau subbed in. You know Hubert Davis hasn’t had a freshman average more than 3 points. Now he’s having trouble early on implementing the preseason freshman of the year. I’m sure nobody will point this out in recruiting.

I’m not really sure why it’s been hard for them, seems like the guy who loves to create and pass should be a great fit with the rest of their rotation. He’s turned the ball over quite a bit so far, though.

Just when BC had done so well not BCing they choke down the stretch against Loyola Chicago. They were up I think 8 or 9 at the last tv timeout. Only points after that were on a late goal tending call.

I haven’t really been watching, but from the box score, Nova’s perimeter players aren’t creating anything. Their offense is quite reliant on beating guys off the dribble and getting the defense to make long rotations with their spacing, but they don’t have a lot of player movement in their offense, so it can look bad if they aren’t creating those initial advantages.

I assume UNC is doing a lot of switching on D, haven’t paid attention…but Villanova has gotten Justin Moore matched up on the UNC 4 man (Ingram or Withers) the last two scores. Too easy. That’s just terrible D in crunch time.

Nova going for pure mismatch basketball the last couple of possessions, they’ve always loved putting their guards in the post. Did not go great though. But UNC is only getting very tough/bad looks on the other end.
If not for Bacot, this UNC team is terrible. But they have Bacot who will make our life an absolute living hell.
Hubert Davis is not a good coach. Bless the TarHeel brand for getting him talent on the roster though

Love a good hammer action. It’s not new, but it works because drives always draw eyes away from the weakside screening action.
How nice would it be to have a player like Dixon or Moore.

Terrible what happened to Ryan. Never want that to happen to a kid…well, unless they play for Duke, maybe.
