I can’t remember another team that was so disrespected and overlooked nationally as this Virginia team. Why even have the champ game? Just give the title to Duke. It’s obvious 90% of the national sports media/bloggers do not pay attention to Virginia, let alone actually watch our games.

Proctor is like a Ty Jerome type of player with his height and shooting. This is why I’ve been harping on getting a Ty Davis like player who will stay for 3 years, even if not super athletic, but can provide a lot of offense due to his height.

The national media doesn’t really pay much attention to college bball until after the Super Bowl and we’ve been primarily bad to mediocre for much of that and Duke has been in a roll. No one remembers how good we were to start the season, are we closer to that form now? Hard to tell cause we haven’t beaten any really good teams, Duke will be the first test. But the same could be said for Duke, who have they really beaten that’s good in this win streak other than a “home” tourney win vs an injured Miami team? It’s easier for the media to focus on Duke cause they have young players finally figuring it all out. There is little for the media to be excited about with us, no 1st round nba talent, poor metrics, style of play etc. But id rather be an underrated team heading into the tourney. If Duke wins tonight, they will be become everyone’s dark horse final 4 pick, the team no one wants to play and have more pressure on them to win.
