Fall Recruiting Action

Most likely Duke bound but highlights from top 100 camp. Some baskets scored on Traudt and McKneely. You can also hear coach Jerome in the background

Not so fast, my friend

We know from Rick Lewis’ tweet a few weeks ago that we are probably 2nd for Foster right now. Rick Lewis being essentially the king of high school basketball in the Carolinas and his son is tyler lewis, former McDonalds all american/NC State and Butler player who is one of Caleb Foster’s trainers. Don’t think we can be the destination but would love to be proven wrong. He was one recruit Ive been spamming about for the last year and ahalf.

As I understand it, Ryan Dunn visited Pittsburgh this past weekend, and will go to Minnesota on the 2nd (and I am not absolutely of these dates). Is Virginia still in pursuit, and, if so, any murmurs of a visit date? Thanks.

Thanks. Anyone have the previous?

Bond Unranked (Updated)

off the top of my head traudt was late 50s or 60 I think. Bond unranked, and McKneely 95 or 96. Could be wrong though

Edit: @Wahoowa12 is probably right

Thanks, both!

Bond was unranked. He’s featured in an article by Biancardi about biggest movers from the previous ranking to the new one. The article’s behind a paywall, otherwise I would link it here.

That should help his composite score on 247, I’m glad I got it wrong then. lol

ESPN 2023 also up

13 Caleb Foster
17 Justin Edwards
22 GG Jackson
38 Reed Sheppard

Names that UVA has shown some interest in (but no idea if they are still on the radar)

  1. Isaiah Collier

25 George Washington III

30 Jared McCain

33 Isaiah West

34 Jaylen Curry

36 Isaiah Mirranda

40 London Johnson

45 Aden Holloway

Bronnie James at 50 surprisingly. Might be a 3-4 year player.

Bronnie is such an interesting one. Would be great PR for your school to get him, but then the circus and expectations that he may well fall short of will come into play.

Might all depend how much a coach expects LeBron to attach himself to whichever school Bronny plays for. Because if LeBron goes all in and starts repping the school it could be worth 3-4 years of headaches for the 30+ years of association with the LeBron brand. Not that UVA will be involved but I’m saying for any school below those top 6-8 programs and that doesn’t already have its own all time great alum.

I just hope he does NOT go to Dook. I wouldn’t be able to watch any basketball games for fear of mention of that horrible decision.

Actually, having LaBron James hovering over Coach Scheyer’s shoulder for four years, and telling him how he should be using his son, could end Scheyer career a bit earlier than he anticipates! Just sayin’… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I’d rather Duke get that publicity than Ohio State or Kansas or Kentucky. At least as long as we are still in the ACC. Much more concerned about Duke landing kids who can actually give us problems. Like Banchero this year.

No mention of UVA for Cupps

But the benefit of having Lebron James and dook associated *forever will always be a recruiting boost to dook to land more Bancheros, so I’d rather they not have that benefit in their cap.
