Those Leon Bond 3s… yeah Noah is going to be his best friend during a redshirt year
Yeah that shot needs a rework pronto
There’s a reason none of his highlight videos included him hitting any threes
Since it’s going to be quiet until 09/10 anyways might as well post (definitely not a recruit to spend your time on unless you are truly addicted to recruiting)
Kyle Pock is a player I noticed UVA follows on both instagram and twitter. Of course it just means he is on their radar/no guarantee they are going to offer him at all/they followed a lot of 2023s recently.
Does fit that Joe Harris mold. I view Taine/McKneely more as combo guards where as Pock is a sg/sf combo like Joe Harris and (vomits) Corey Kispert. Dude played on the Mokan Elite u17 team (he’s a 2023 but could possibly reclass to 2022 if whatever team is recruiting him wants to). Missouri and Arkansas are on him early.
No idea, with Leon Bond on board and possibly redshirt, if they view the spot they wanted to fill with a Justin Edwards type as now being more open to a Joe Harris type as well.
wow. you dont see quick release like that often at his age
A post on the Sabre about a poster meeting Murphy and Bond last night at the football game and how awesome they both were. Murphy really showing Bond around. I mean how awesome of an ambassador is that for the University to want to come back and hang with recruits after barely spending a year here before off to the NBA
Makes me even more happy for Murphy’s success and equally as bummed we only had him for one season.
I told Trey he would regret leaving and not getting to see the real Charlottesville!
Step one is not to care if you make it … yet. Let it fly Bond… Leon Bond
Based on what little I’ve seen of Leon Bond’s game, I suspect he has some skill sets that preclude the need of a three point shot. At least, I don’t think he’ll need one upon arrival. Additionally, if his defensive skills have not been exaggerated, I would be hesitant to say that Coach Bennett might redshirt him. If they’re as good as advertised, they could earn him some significant floor time.
yessir. This is why the video is somewhat limited (20 seconds). Take two HS sharp shooters and LB and compare is bad for us to compare. Love the level head here 73
Eric Bossi, head recruiting expert at 247, says Leon Bond is one of his favorite players in the class but that Bond absolutely has work to do on his outside shooting. Says the shooting form isn’t broken since he is a good jump shooter. Just that he doesn’t have the reps behind his 3pt shot to be comfortable.
Also we need all 5 players on the court to be 3pt threats. I believe he will eventually get there. But he is a very raw prospect but with the highest ceiling out of the 2022 class.
Not broken but he has a weird twitch to if. Lets focus on what he is good at and he can make the rest better.
Ha yes. thats unreal
Made Bobi’s top 6. Thought Arkansas would be in there but knowing them they probably are saving as many spaces for the transfer market lol. Loyola Chicago has been pushing hard for him, and Kansas has always been a threat. Figured Texas wouldn’t be there since Shaka is at Marquette now.
Sort of a non-scoop scoop here. I heard from an outside source a week or so ago Klintman has three visits set up, including one to Maryland. Other two unknown. We asked him about it. He said it’s a secret for now. haha Probably do interviews now that he released his list. Either way, he’s a wait and see first for UVA and probably half the teams on his list.
I’m irrationally hopping back on the Bobi hype train let’s go ![]()

Irrational-ness is welcome here. Im still speaking a McKneely, Bond, Bobi, Phillips, Traudt recruiting class into existence even though @HoozGotNext has blatatnly said not only are they only going to take only 4, but also that they are even happy with it just being the three we have.
Logic just gets in the way.
As I know nothing about Klintman, I am anxious to see (and hear) what he brings to the table, but that said, I’d be quite happy if Ryan Dunn committed to Virginia. This year could turn into one of an embarrassment of riches. These are the good ol’ days!
