Hoos Going Pro 2022-23 NBA Season

So great to see Ty playing finally for a team and a coach that appreciate what he’s able to offer.

NBA is so dependent on opportunity and team fit/ situation for guys like Ty. I have always said he will be in the NBA for a long time. Coaches like Kerr or Pop or whoever know how valuable he is to have on your roster

Love to see Ty getting his due finally, and agree 100% that he just needed the right fit to get his NBA career rolling.

But someone tell Ty to sneak in a reference to UVa or Tony in each of these interviews. I mean, it’s not just the NYC parks that made him what he is.

Ty just had to find his spot. He may not be very athletic but he knows how to play. PERIOD
I’m really glad for him

Ty and dre both quiet tn warriors v hawks. Ty actually playing pretty poorly. Got pulled for a few turnovers. Edit - dre had a sneaky 17

Watched both OTs. The warriors announcer is awesome

Okongwu for Atlanta played on the same high school team as Lamelo Ball and now with Trae Young … talk about being stuck with ball dominators … his one year in college at USC he was their leading scorer.
The 2 years in high school he played after Lamelo went overseas, he was Mr. Basketball in California

Ty with a great game tonight for the Warriors. 18 points on 7-11 from the field. Here he is urging on the crowd after the Warriors went on a run with him out there. Ty also was part of the impressive inbounds play that led to Klay T’s three to tie the game with 1 second. But the Pistons hit a shot at the buzzer to win it.

If Ty were on the floor of an NBA All-Star game with Jordan, Kobe, and Bird, he’d still play like he owned the joint. I love that about him.

Here is the impressive inbounds play at the end of the 4th quarter that Kerr drew up with Ty inbounding.

P.S. how do I post the tweet instead of the link to it?

Give it a watch if you can spare a half hour. Nods to UVa, Tony, Dre, @Marktykobe. Fascinating stuff about being on a tanking team, learning the business, and race in the NBA.

You can tell that Iggy is rooting for him and I think that means something.

Love it (even though I have no idea what this particular stat is)!

Dont question the stat. Just hold it in high regard since it’s good for UVA

Slightly off topic, but do you think ATL wishes they could take the Kevin Huerter trade back?
